MISSION STATEMENT
The Fort Nelson Aboriginal Friendship Society is committed to assisting
the transition of Aboriginal people and other people to the urban community.
The Centre provides programs and events that enhance self-esteem and positive growth.
HISTORY
The Friendship Society was incorporated in January of 1975 to aid in the transition of Aboriginal people
to urban living. We have grown over the years from a one-room building with a core staff of three
into a large building with a staff of fourteen. We have a membership of over 100 people and an active Board of Members.
