MISSION STATEMENT
The Fort St. John Friendship Society offers programs and services to promote and build healthy
lifestyles and relationships through our values focused on Aboriginal people
and community in Fort St. John and Surrounding areas.
HISTORY
The concept of a Friendship Centre originated in the 1950's. The first constitution was
signed January 20, 1970. The Society was incorporated February, 1970. Over the years,
the Friendship Society has expanded to provide services to the community. The programs
and services provided by the Friendship Society are designed to support
local cultures and values and encourage healthy lifestyles.
